We are thrilled to announce that Rutgers–Camden has been selected to receive a highly competitive and prestigious $700,000 award over five years from the Henry Luce Foundation’s Clare Boothe Luce (CBL) Women in STEM Program.
This award, which is granted to only a select number of campuses nationwide, is a tremendous honor and recognizes our commitment to diversity in STEM fields.
The grant’s purpose is to significantly improve the climate for women in STEM at Rutgers–Camden, while broadly strengthening recruitment and retention efforts across all STEM disciplines.
Julie Griepenburg and Haydee Herrera-Guzman will serve as Clare Boothe Luce Professors during the funding period. This success was a true campus effort, with core team members including Kwangwon Lee, Sunil Shende, Jamie Cattell, Kyra Miller, Todd Regn, and Brent Nesmith. We especially recognize the prior work of Kwangwon Lee and the E3 team, whose equity initiatives laid the important groundwork for this achievement.
